Buy a caliper for about $10. If it is a HAI just let it hang by the filter.

he means does the cone go towards the fenderwell, or do you just have a short pipe with the cone hanging in the engine bay?

surely, ur gonna be putting the sensor in something rubber? it won't sit right in pvc pipe. just take a drill bit that 1-2 sizes smaller than the diamater of the iat sensor and do that. the sensor will fit nice and snug

I'm kind of uneasy about cutting the stock pipe just incase i need it down the road.. but if i really have to i will. So i need a rubber fitting for the IAT in the pvc pipe? is there any other way that i could have it fit snug without a fitting? btw somebody told me that the hole on the stock hose is 1/2 inch?

i'd drill right where the pvc piping slips under the rubber coupler tubing. you drill through the rubber and pvc pipping. the iat sensor would fit tight in the rubber and you wouldn't need to worry about it sitting perfect in the pvc pipe

some newer (late 90's) gm trucks/vans have the right gromet attached to the iat, in a solid pipe, as well as the older / newer filter minders.

I have also read that some pcv gromits may work

it should be a good setup. the pcm can lay where the old intake box sat. alot of people say to just lay it there and itll be fine.
