if I was to end up having to do this ( id probably start w/ the switch then get the shift nob from PFYC.. but actually having a switch would seem pretty cool, ge one of those little ones from RS w/ the red cover ) but yea anywho back to the question.. would i HAVE to get an aftermarket PCM or would i be able to do the recalibration w/ the hand held.. and if so is it setup to automatically set the shift points to such as the earlier years? or would all that have to be tuned? cause i saw its ll the same just minus the shift button so i wonder how much calibration and setup would be needed. does it do exactly what the 99's and so on Performance shift does?! ( i know i asked like 2 questions twice lol)

just curious to know what to expect

Like IndeedSS said, the cars that don't have performance shift wired usually have the same numbers in both the normal and performance tables. No sense in changing them if they can't be used, right?

    And what is "the handheld"?
