ive got a 2000 grand prix SE, the starter is fine, but it sometimes wont start, and then start when it wants too.... sometimes going for 2 full days-week without starting! any ideas??

Like it wont crank some times?

check the battery cables?
maybe a ground is loose?

battery cables were checked, and we cant find anything! the battery and everything is perfect!

If its rolling over but not firing, it may be bad coil packs or possibly the Crank position sensor. Need to check if you have spark.

Does the starter spin? Maybe the ignition switch is bad?

i had that proublem wit my gtp and it was the ground on the trans was dirty and loose check the starter also... the cables going 2 it...
