Hi. I just bought a Garmin Nuvi 660 for my 99 Grand Prix. I don't really like it on the windshield and the dash is really curved for the bean bag mount. I noticed it fits quite nicely in the opening for the cubby hole below the ashtray (where I currently keep my sunglasses) and was curious as to if anyone had found a good way to mount a gps there. ProClip USA makes a nice product, but they only have a vent mount for that car and I don't want to go that route.

Does it have the suction cup to hold it up?

If it does, I like to put it on the glass for the sun roof. Put it all the way to the right and towards the hood.

I satrted off by lifting up the bubber mat that lays down inside the ''cubby'' hole and cleaning the hard plastic part really good that lies beneath the rebber mat.. next i put the hard plastic circle piece that the suction cup ataches to that comes with the gps..peeled off the film to reaveal the sticky tape that is on the back of it...and stuck it inside the plastic cubby hole (make sure you have it mounted where you want it before doing this). Next i hard wired the gps into the car by connecting it to the power source supplied by the cig lighter on the passanger side console. I just ran the wires through the back of the console so nothing can be seen. If i want to take the gps out all i do is disconnect the gps from the power plug and remove it from the suction cup stand. and you can always remove the suction cup stand put the rubber mat back over the hard plastic peice and throw the wire in back of the console and no body will ever know it's there....heres a pic...this is the best place for it trust me....Excuse the very dirty car
