My secondary air injection was messed up on my 97 sho and it didn't cause any ill effects other than check engine light. If you unhook it you'll be fine.

well, i am just going to create a custom air intake that will accept all these hoses. I realize that i could pull the hoses with no effect other than check engine possibly. I do not want to see that check engine status. So, i will reattach them all and be good to go. Just gonna take a little extra work

May as well. I've also seen people put an itty bitty little breather on the end of the hose, but that just looks silly.

California emissions has nothing to do with being sold in California. It just means its California emissions compliant. There are cars sold in California that don't have the California emssions package.

Hell my Stealth is Cali Spec and has never seen the state. Car manufacturers have to produce so many Cali emissions cars every year to meet certain standards.
