Maybe the engine is starting to fail...mine did that for about two weeks and then I had to change it...
i hope its not engine starting to fail. I did hook it up to computer didnt throw any codes. WHat else did your car do before it failed like when its idling it vibrates a little bit more then it should
Your engine is not failing. This is a sign that there is A. Junk in the blower motor causing it to be off-balance, or B. the motor itself is starting to go bad and is allowing the squirrel cage to flop a bit and vibrate. Let me guess, you can feel it in the pedals when its on 5 and vibrating, right?
As far as your car vibrating more than it should at idle, when was the last time a tune-up and vac. leak check was done? I'd start there before anything.
Just drop down the blower motor its only a couple screws holding it in. I've seen the cages crack and also cause a vibration. Id say more than likely just a blower motor. Some come with cages some don't.
well when its on two its fine but the higher i go louder it gets and the sound is not in the engine its toward windsheild is that where blower motor is should i replace it
Look at it this way..take a ceiling fan. Turn it on low it spins fine. Remove a blade or add weight to one. Now its off balance...though at a very slow speed you don't see it. Crank it up a couple notches now its all over the place.
Remove the cover under the passenger side dash. You'll see a big black dome thing with a couple wires coming out. 3 or 4 screws hold it in. Remove those it should slide right out.
Ok what should i do after i take it out? and where is the squrriel cage thing at?
Its attached to the blow motor. Usually white in color. Look for cracks or anything stuck in it
im sure its probably an easy fix or easy to replace
Took me an hour, in freezing cold temperature and during the night lol!
i fixed it damn bank enevlope in it dont know how the hell that got in there.
