well hope you get it or got it all fixed (:
well i was putting in something into the car, it was a b*tch but it was worth it (: since i was there already i checked all the cables & plugs.. plugs were good, check the cables.. seemed to be fine.. then checked the coils i saw one i think leading to cyl. 4 the tip was corroded, kinda rusted.. sanded it down, & then TRIED to put the cable back on & it wouldnt click.. checked the cable from inside looked rusted too :/ tried & did what i could & pushed the cable back on, it went in more firmly.. still didnt click but its the best i could FOR NOW.. took a test drive..
IM MISFIRING BUT JUST A BIT.... NOT THAT MUCH ANYMORE!..
GUESS ITS THE WIRES & MAYBE THAT COIL.. im gonna change em out this week.. well whenever it doesnt rain this week![]()

Just one note(ok a few): make sure you don't get the dielectric grease on the metal contact or it will corrode it again. Take sandpaper and clean up the prongs on the coil packs. If the wires have corroded contacts, just get new OEM ones.
Soooo WOTGTP stopped over with headers yesterday afternoon. If he arrived at 4pm... We ran into major issues for a header install. He drove home a little before 11pm. We actually worked on it about 4, maybe 5 hours.
His car had been modded before and it's becoming clearer that it was even more modded than it is now. He found rockers, springs and a 3.8mps. The car probably had headers before, some bolts were super tight etc.
One of the studs in the head broke when trying to remove the nut from it. That never happens, never. With him holding the mirror and light, I freehand drilled it with a right angle drill. Then a trip to Sears for an extractor. Got it out and breathed a sigh of relief. Later on with the piece in the vice to remove it from the extractor, the extractor broke. I smiled and thought...that's the best time it could have chosen to break.
Oh..and somehow a SC plastic wire holder found it's way onto the motor, making his cool red wires look nice and neat.
