Based on the page that is Safely Mod your car or whatever, I have done (or not done) the following:

    1. Flip Dogbone mounts - no
    2. Cold Air Induction - yes
    3. 180* Tstat - yes
    4. Spark Plugs - yes, I used NGK TR55s
    5. Spark Plug Wires - yes
    6. Exhaust - Headers (downpipe change, Ubend delete, Cutout installed) - yes
    7. Reptile (thanks again) PCM tune - yes
    8. Port TB - no
    9. Port S/C case - no
    10. Pulley drop - yes, 3.4"
    11. Rockers - no
    12. IC - no
    13. Cam - no (seems like a CRAPLOAD of work)

Let me know what you think I need to do next.

    Thanks.

Cam or rockers. FWIW cam is very worth the effort.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I'm with Bill on advice. A cam makes a world of difference. The total parts cost is barely more than rockers and the power potential is much greater. A cam swap is not as difficult as it may seem. There are a few how-to's on doing them floating around that will show you exactly what you need to do.

I also recommend getting (or doing it yourself) a ported blower case. It will make the outlet temps a bit cooler.

Might as well go ahead and flip the dogbone mounts. It's easy, free, and doesn't take long to do. Just make sure you use some WD-40 to lube the rubber before you try and flip it or else you might tear the mount.

Not sure what year your car is, but if it's a '97 or '98, I've got a ported TB that will work well with a stock or ported supercharger.

Bill and Dan, the only reason I think a cam is so much work is because just putting in the damned headers I broke $150 worth of stuff because they didn't go in, so trying to take them out again will be a nightmare.
And my dogbone mounts are close to being rotted so I'm not sure if I want to mess with sasquatch and have them tear trying to twist them.
    My car is a '99.

mechguy, I'm not sure. I checked both the plug and wire and they are both working fine. I haven't done the compression test as it is working as well as it did the day I got it. I'm not that worried.

Also, I'm unsure if I should keep dumping money into the GTP or if I should take my dad's 351 he has in the garage he just offered me and go out and get a Ford to put it in... Oh the options... Everything on a 351 is a dime a dozen and so much cheaper, what to do what to do!

What headers did you try to put in and how did you break 150 worth of stuff doing it?

If you did that much with headers, maybe working on the GP isn't for you. I know a guy who does amazing work in the Phoenix area and he coudl surely help you out/straighten things up.

I didn't try, I succeeded in the end, but they were Speed Daddy. Haha.

And technically it wasn't me that broke the stuff, it was my dad. He just took a hammer and started smashing it because we couldn't get it going. Broke the bracket on the top back and everything on it like the EVAP sensor thing, Map sensor, and one other thing.

Who is this guy and what kind of work does he do? What could he help me with, and are GPs specialty?

High price of gas doesn't help at all with my GTP. 16 MPG and close to $4 for premium.
