    Hi guys,

I have a 2008 Grand Prix V6. Had this problem for a while now and I'm hoping someone can tell me something about it.

In heavy rain or if you drive through a large-ish puddle, the serpentine belt has a pretty good chance of slipping off. Never happened in dry or mildly wet conditions.

I have gotten pretty adept at putting it back on at the side of the road, but it seems like something that really shouldn't be happening.

Tried replacing the belt last year and it didn't seem to help. The tensioner seems to have a lot of tension.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

sounds like one of your pulleys is off center, pulling the belt when it rides across.

So can I adjust the pulley myself? Do I just look down and see one sticking out a little?

you can use a straight edge, a metal ruler or something similar, and place it across the pulleys, to see witch one is out of alignment, if this just started happening and you haven't changed anything it could be a tensioner or idler pulley has gone bad.
