So I got my dual exhaust put on today. I went with the removal of the res and Magnaflow mufflers and 1331 Vibrant tips. Looks really good, but I have to admit it sounds kind of ricey . What now? The guy says give it a few weeks to break in and it will sound better, but I dont see that happening. What should I do? Will adding a glasspack take away the riceness and give it more of a deep rumble? I want that deep rumble I hear on so many other V6 GP's without having to add headers and a downpipe. Anyway any help would be awesome, thanks.

I thought people only left that on if they didnt want the drone. I dont have much drone, in fact sounds good in the car but outside when given some good gas sounds like someone blowing their nose into a coffee can LOL.

It will clear out the drone and rasp that you're hearing.

Damn I hope they will still have it come Monday, as they are closed until then. If they dont I guess I will add either the Magnaflow res or a glasspack

So I guess this is where the intake comes into play as suggested above?

    yeah...without a glasspack/resonator you're going to sound very raspy.

have them throw the stock on back on, or just get the longest, fattest glasspack you can.

You sort-of deserve the ricey sound, because you should have replaced the manifolds with headers instead of putting money into the mufflers first. Haha, just had to bug ya a bit....

Why buy an intake when you can make your own?

I embrace the laziness. Its like why buy a birthday cake when you can make your own....because more than likely the bought one will be better and without the effort.
