i meant stock, sorry
GTs and GTPs only have dual, SEs don't stock
There are plenty of factory freaks. And there are se's with the gt package.. They have dual exhaust.
Let's set some things straight here peeps.
1) NO WBODY car has duals...we have a single downpipe to a "Y" that goes into 2 mufflers. A Silverado has duals...we have a Y Pipe.
2) Anything with a Series II or Series III 3800...L36, L67, L26, L32...has the same catback (as long as it is the dual outlet one)...all you have to do is hang it.
3) What does factory freaks have anything to do with a dual outlet catback? Nothing. Factory freaks are the definition of fast, bone stock cars...not what options they had from the factory.
4) Unless your meaning Special Edition GT/GTP's...no SE came from the factory with dual outlet exhaust...hence the different rear bumper on EVERY SE.
there are base model cars like mine that have all the option packages, including the dual mufflers

So unless you saw one guy that put a dual muffler setup from a GT on his SE 3.8, its not factory.
Here is an autotrader GP SE for sale. Click thru the pics and notice the 3.8 and the single exhaust. They are all like that.
Cars for Sale: 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix SE in Sterling Heights, MI 48313: Sedan Details - 288915176 - AutoTrader.com
Later on the SE's got the same front end as a GT and GTP. Other than that they come with a single outlet for the exhaust, a different rear bumper and no side skirts.
