I recently procured a 97 SE with the 3.8. It runs great and the outside body is immaculate. Now the downside. A lot of the underside(fuel lines and tank, brake lines, transmission cooler lines, rear suspension, engine cradle, etc) has a good coating of rust. It's almost like it spent some time underwater. Is this normal? It would take a good amount of time and money to replace that. Will I be OK just using it as my DD or do I have to worry about the lines rusting all the way through? My main worry of course is the brake lines. Do they come pre-bent or would I have to do that myself?
