Im starting to think i bit off a little more than i can chew. I recently bought a 97 GTP and the kid that owned it before me blew it up, and tore it half way down, gave up, then i bought it. Now i have the new motor in and I'm having some issues because i didn't take any of the wiring off the motor, it was all done by the previous owner. How many wires go to the starter? How many grounds are on the car that mount to the engine? Does anyone have the vacuum diagram thats on the top of the s/c? Also something else seems odd i tryed to bump the car over, and the fuel pump does not run, nor will the starter engage, also the scangauge will not power up either....just a few questions and any help is very much appriciated thanks...

Grounds get bolted to the lowest front trans bolt. Actually a stud. The large ground cable from the battery and a set of black wires with metal loops on them.

STarter.. Christ...I forget..lol Basically it's the rest the wires that are in the same loom as the grounds and they reach the starter.

Rest of the wiring. Take your time and just flop it on the engine. It'll all pretty much lay right in place near it's connection point. Connectors are keyed to keep you from puting them in the wrong place, except the fuel injectors. Those are in order in the loom and should lay right near their injector.

It's not more than you can chew..it's relatively easy. Did your new motor come with a charger? Depending on that, will depend on which vacuum routing you have. Either way..it's relatively easy.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Thanks for all the info Bill. I got all of the wiring finally figured out...the new motor came with a charger, but its from a 98 gtp, and the car the motors going into is a 97. Im trying to find a vaccum diagram for a 97 and im having no luck. If you or anyone has a diagram i would appriciate it. Thanks
