    I'd shoot some p-blaster into the hood end and work it gently until it frees up.

    I've never replaced one but I'd think "pain in the ass" would apply.

    thats what i figured. id say heated garage and a few beers is in order

    Does your hood release (under the dash) retract when you let go of it?

    03 GTP...Its got pulleys and stuff.

    Nope the cable is binding or freezing making it so the hood will not open correctly. It's dumb and I'm gona have to replace it sometime. Probably after it warms up or if I can find a well heated garage

    That cable runs into the firewall kind of behind the driver's side strut tower, underneath some other stuff. Crappy location. Good luck!
