I have a 2007 Grand Prix. I am not able to lock the doors with my key fob. All of the other functions on the key fob work and the door locks will activate automatically with the switch in the door. This problem happened with both fobs at the same time, sort of slowly - wouldn't always work and then finally stopped working altogether. Are their separate receiving units for each function (trunk, door unlock, etc). I have changed the battery in the fob and that did not fix it either.

    That's an odd problem.

Did you try disconnecting the battery for a few hours just to reset everything?

Does the key fob "open" the locks?

I'll try that tomorrow. The key fob opens the locks and opens the trunk. It just won't lock them and because of that I also have lost my remote start.

It could be the head unit on the remote start? Take it to where it was installed and tell em whats up and they might be able to help

What is the bcm? Can I do that or does the dealer have to?

body control module. Idk if thats exactly what it is but if its both fobs and new batteries its either the actuators or the bcm. you should be able to do it with a scan tool
