Ok i have an issue , i turn the temp control to cold and i get a crap load of air coming out of the vents , but then i turn it to heat and i am getting about 40 % of the air out of the vents. Anyone have any idea how to check to see if it may be a blend door actuator?

    Plainfield of what state?

Most likely it's holding a bit back to heat the cold air...
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    plainfield ,ill

Yea but the amount of air that is coming out of the vents should be more than what it is.

When I first bought my 99 Grand Prix 3 years ago I noticed that the heat wouldn't blow on setting #5. Last week heat isn't blowing on any of my settings and when I turn the heat on the headlights cut off. Any suggestions? I read on one of these threads somewhere that it might be an ignition switch problem. Has anyone else had these issues?

If you lose headlights when you turn on the fan sounds like an ignition switch.

OK thanks for the speedy reply. Every now and then the key will get stuck and I'll have to wiggle it around to get it out. I'll have this looked at, thanks again
