Thread: Speedo and weight savings question

I didn't think so. What could cause this? The speed sensor must be working cause it works in gear. What could make it lose signal?

Anyone?

I remember why I tried this in the first place: I was going down a small hill and wanted to coast, and I realized this was happening because I was not able to see how fast I was going to see if I was maintaining or increasing speed down the hill while in neutral. I tried it again last night, and the same thing is happening. It doesn't just instantly drop to zero, it gradually (but quickly) goes from my current speed to zero after putting it in neutral. As soon as I put it in gear the speed jumps right back to actual. What could cause the signal to drop out when going to neutral?
