Look for a T/A closer to like 100K...if you can find one in nice condition that's not a WS6 i would still get it...you can always buy a ram air hood later.
FWIW I found a T/A a couple days ago for 6 grand I think it was...i don't know where your at but if you look in the southern states they usually have them decently priced...and they stay nice cuz theres no salt on the roads down there.
Yeah, maybe. I've seen regular Firebird V8s for around 5K that had decent mileage. I'll look into it, but maybe after I earn some more money, lol.

Haha, because it's true! Just kidding, but seriously, the WS6 is a sweet car. Not only for the looks, but just because a GP motor looks like nothing next to a WS6's 5.7L V8.

    Get a formula then.
I'll look into that, too. My dad has a dealer liscense, so he gets into those "dealer only" auctions that sell cars for under black book prices. I'll look around there when I get some more money.

Nah not firebirds...actual T/A's can be had for 5-6 grand.

If it makes you feel any better I wanted an LS1,wether it be a WS6 or a Z28 way before I wanted a GTP.

Just looked it up, you're right, it's really nice. Too bad, but at least you have that GTP, which gives you something to work with, unlike my GT, lol.

T56? That uses a hydraulic clutch, doesn't it? Good transmisison.

The T5's from the eighties F bodies had hydraulic clutches as well.

Looked what up? the color? 1997 Chevy Camaro Z28 With Mystic Teal Paint Photo 10
I love that pic...its like quaser blue on the left side of the bumper and polo green on the right side...i had a polo green camaro also.
Your right the GTP does give me something to work with but I don't wanna go too crazy with it...3.2" steup is about the furthest i wanna go with it. Ya hydraulic on the clutch i believe.

My bad, lol. I'm not really into modifying transmissions since they're so complicated for me. I don't know much about them, either. I stick to engine, suspension, and brake work. But hey, I'm no mechanic.

Yeah, I searched pictures for the car and saw some pretty nice ones. Beautiful car. For me though, I'm going to go all black on the Trans Am, and black everything out.

Yeah, while the GTP is a good starting point, you don't want to invest thousands and thousands. You plan on getting a WS6 or Z28?

Cold....? Never heard of it down in FL. Coldest it's usually going to get down here is usually around the 50s. Actually, tommorow it'll be 35 degress, which is great...I suppose.

By the way, my GP's exhaust tips are.....rusty and dirty, to say the least. Any way to polish them up? I was thinking about replacing them with chrome tips. But anyway to make the stock ones look better? I'm the 3rd or fourth owner of this car. Actually, it may be more....but whoever had it before didn't take much care of it, besides putting four brand new tires on days before blowing the engine

Its cold here alright currently 1 degree BUT with the windchill were at -22...its was probably in the -40s around 3 and 4...LOTS of wind died down since then. I'd find some new tips for it...stock tips arent to aesthetically appealing anyway.
EDIT: We have a windchill advisory and a blizzard weather adivsory lol
I wonder how bad it gets where matt is

WHAT? 40 below? Oh man, that sucks big time. I don't even know how I would cope. I'm now glad that I live in FL. That weather must kill a lot of potential drag racing, lol.
