Hey all, new to this forum. I'm looking to buy an 04 grand prix gt with 65000 for 9500. I'm planning on starting with an intake, exhaust, and just the very basics. Any tips, advice, problems with this year, or any other help on the matter would be greatly appreciated!!!

Lower Intake Manifold Gasket absolutely needs to be replaced with a new aluminum one. They didn't start using good gaskets until at least 2005.

And take him down to $8500.
And get a dealership to do a transmission flush as soon as yo get it. (only dextron, no solvents)

Yeah $9500 is way too much.
I bought mine 2 years ago with 32K miles for $9k
My dads 04 Bonnie had that LIM gasket go at 84K.
Make sure the coolant elbows aren't leaking. I have 66k miles on my car now and one is leaking.

I wouldnt do a flush because he doesn't have an idea as to when the last flush was and I wouln't do a flush on a car with 60000 miles on it that hasn't gotten a flush.

Two problems with mine, one major, the other not so much: the light in the headliner leaks water (presumably through the antenna), no matter what I try... the other issue has been with the ABS (also been trying to solve this for the past few months, but no luck so far). ABS kicks in when stopping at low speeds (e.g. like pulling into a parking space or up behind someone at a light)

I would spring for a 2005 so you don't even have to worry about LIM gaskets and make it a GTP . You can find one with with decent miles for less than what that guy is asking for his GT...
2005 GTP - AL 605's gapped at .055", SD headers, WAI with 9" cone air filter, 180 degree t-stat, green coolant, otherwise stock.

My 2006 GT has 32K. I am trying to figure what it is worth. It has pretty much everything but navi. Does the supercharger add any money?

No it doesn't, it's actually worth less because of the higher insurance. Now sell it to me $5K
