No joking, I was driving home from work with the sun coming in the back window. I was stopped at a stop sign and noticed the letters "PREF SHIFT" on the top half of the low washer flluid light at the center of the dash. Am I crazy, or is there a purpose for those words with possible light behind them?

it doesnt do much of anything, i believe its supposed to provide firmer shifts through increased pressure. its hardly noticeable.Originally Posted by Madness

Only certain models and years had it, if your car had it there would be a button on your shifter knob

There is a mod 2 enable perf shift, but u will need a tuner to enable it on the pcm.After u run a wire to an empty pin on the pcm and install a switch.The write up is in the how 2 section i believe.
