No joking, I was driving home from work with the sun coming in the back window. I was stopped at a stop sign and noticed the letters "PREF SHIFT" on the top half of the low washer flluid light at the center of the dash. Am I crazy, or is there a purpose for those words with possible light behind them?

it doesnt do much of anything, i believe its supposed to provide firmer shifts through increased pressure. its hardly noticeable.

Only certain models and years had it, if your car had it there would be a button on your shifter knob

There is a mod 2 enable perf shift, but u will need a tuner to enable it on the pcm. After u run a wire to an empty pin on the pcm and install a switch. The write up is in the how 2 section i believe.
