    symptoms are alt is only charging at 13.5 when i start the car and will drop to as low as 12.7 as the car runs long the speedometer is bouncing all over the place and my obd port and dic randomly works i suspect a bad ground as i just replaced the alt and had the batt load tested and it took a 300amp load also all the fuses are fine anyone have an idea

    maybe a ground, or a connection is the problem

    but from what i ahve done at school with testing alts and stuff, once we turn the car on and check the volts and amps at idle, the volts are around 14.5. You might have a bad alternator.

    well i figured it out the shop that did the tranny in my car didnt tighten the ground wire that is attached to the starter and it was a little wiggly so i tightened it up and now im pissed cause i spent 170 on an alternator that i didnt need so im gunna ***** and the shop and see if i can get some free labour or somthing out of them cause that is bs that is the second time they have done this the other time was on my cavalier the ground wire that attaches to the bellhouseing
