Yes, if you get headers it will make a noticeable difference, and will help eliminate knock if there's any present. The cat back is not restrictive, unless you've got a very high horse-power build. The headers will help the exhaust flow quite a bit better, and the butt-dyno will also see a difference.
It's not hard to do, if you have some confidence, and mechanical know how. I put mine in without any major problems at all. I know people have had them installed at shops for between 200-300dollars, which is a waste to me. Speed Daddy headers are damn good for the money, just check the forums for an install write-up.

And yes the ported blower makes more power, it allows for better air flow, and reduces the temperatures post blower.
