Is this the type of setup (Clicky) people are talking about when they mention "Scanning"? If its this cheap I may pick it up in a couple weeks.

I Would ask the company.Pcms speak different languages for perimeters. Can sounds like Chrysler products. It will read obd2 dtc's

Can bus is the new data bus for cars.

So since I'm a noob.. is there anything else others prefer or will this (anything) do the trick?

Reason I ask is cuz the website doesn't state KR being read at all.

I am pretty sure it would read timing retard also (kr) most that will read timing advance will also read that. Just shoot them an email.
