Hey guys, i have a 1999 Grand Prix GTP, I have since moved onto a 06 300 SRT8 but here is my problem. I was in the process of selling the GTP, and noticed the SES light was on so i took it to autozone.. It popped the following Codes: P0305, P0742, P0107
This is the 2nd time i have had a problem with this car. A yr ago, i thought i had it sold but do to unprofessionalism by the guy selling the car for me, he replaced the car to the buyer before i had given him the title. The kid took the car supposively blew the transmission according the GM Dealership. So i bought a used Tranny with 25k miles on it, and had it put in by a certified person. Car ran fine for 2-3 weeks over a 6 month period. Already had my 300 so would drive it only now and then.
Then a put it on ebay not to long ago, and had a few people interested. One in particular wanted to take it to GM again and have it looked at to see what the problem was this time.
When i had taken it to Autozone to get the codes that popped above, i drove it off the lot, and got to a stop light and everything went neutral on me. I turned off the car called my buddy to come get me then 5 mins later turned the car back on and the gears were all magically back, just shifting rough.
So basically the dealership told the guy that it was the same problem that happened a yr ago, blown transmission. What are the odds of 2 Transmissions blowing especially when this 2nd one wasnt even in the vehicle for this long and the above stated happened.
The car is in great Shape still, Aftermarket Ramair hood from PYFC, SLP Smilies
cold air intake, 18 inch chrome wheels, and flowmaster 40 series exhaust.
I was going to sell it to the guy for 1900 as thats all i needed to do the stuff i wanted to do my SRT8. The same parts manager at the GM house, calls me today after the guy tells him he doesnt want it due to the problems and asks me what i wants for it and then tells me he would give me 1000 for it the way it is.
So i am here a newbie yes i know.. but asking for yalls help on my problem. Do you think they even looked at the car, or am i just being offered a low ball price since im not to car knowledgable. The car is in great condition, no rips in the leather interior, few dents on the body and doors.
