This patient is a 90 GP bought for a good price with only 20K on the odo from the original owner. Everything is original except the battery. The reason is there is a 97mA draw after shutdown. This was easy to isolate the offending circuit by pulling fuses. So what I have is 90mA going through the 60A fuse in the right front underhood electrical center, the owner manual calls it "Cooling".
Well pulling the cooling fan relay was no help. So I flipped the fuse block and found the fused circuit is a large red wire going back to the firewall. It goes in a harness behind the glove box, then up and across toward the driver. So I pulled the HVAC controls, headlight controls and wiper controls. Nothing there either, measuring under the power seat and on the harness to the ignition switch there is no power either. Oh where, oh where, did this red wire go? Do you have a schematic or experience that can help? The ground side of this draw goes to a heavy black wire on the left under and just outboard of the driver seat. That ground goes into a harness going up behind the parking brake pedal/bracket assembly.
Equipment needed for this sort of work:
DMM
Inductive current clamp
hand tools
Schematic
I hope someone here can help, I can return all kinds of diagnostic skills with electrical and driveability issues.
Thanks!
