Ok so the other day I was driving home and stopped when my 00' gtp started to struggle and was around 500 rpm jumpin tryin to stay alive. So I cut it off and back on. It was fine until I began to drive home when it started doing it again but this time the engine light popped on. Then I went to autozone and they gave me the code p0101. So I frove home to clean my MAF sensor and then my car was working but still with a rough idle. My engine light even came off and I let it run for like 10 minutes. So next morining everything is fine until it began acting like it did the first time! I took my car home. Another thing is when my car is low in rpm and struggling it happens when my foot is off the gas, so if I press the pedal down my car comes back to life. Now with that being said, this problem began occuring at most 2 days after I took it to get the recall bc my car was smoking! Do think that they messed something up?? I was wondering if it was my MAP sensor? I keep reading about that. Somebody help me I need my car for college!

Try checking all of your big vacuum hoses. It's possible that something's unplugged and causing it to chug. Could also be a PCV valve, it's not very expensive to replace, and it's easily a 5 minute job.

Good way to rule out the MAF sensor is to unplug it. If it runs fine then its the MAF.

Also...do what the green guy said...check all the vacuum lines. Dry rot is a common issue with the rubber "T" fittings around the S/C, Fuel Rails, LIM, and MAP Sensor.

For it to stall out like that, it's usually a big vacuum leak. Even the Evap line that runs from the solenoid to the TB is a very common break.

I suggested the MAF because of the chugging and struggling to stay alive...a bad MAF will make it jump and chug too
