Finally had time to look at my case and still cant figure out a good way to get the bearings out? Its a gen 5 2004. Need to get it done soon because the motor is almost done. Any ideas would be great. There are no holes to do the grease trick

You could drill some holes yourself, but you would be drilling bind not knowing exactly where you are going, or what your going to go through. Not worth it.

That's what I was saying, no holes, the bearings have to come out the same way they are pressed in. Might try your hook and slide hammer trick to remove them. Just don't mess up the case around the bearings, its soft aluminum and will dent easy so be careful.

GenV case needle bearings are not the same size as GenIII case needle bearings so ya know. They look the same, but GenV's are a little bigger/longer. So when you order new ones, make sure you say they are for a GenV so you get the right ones. I believe the GenV's share the same sized bearing as the M112's, but don't quote me on that.
