I can't seem to pin point this problem, and I am sorry if this is a post someone has already had issues with! Heres the deal, have a 98 grand prix gt. I smaked a dear with it and the deer hit the front and swung around and hit the drivers side wheel. I fixed the body, and then noticed the cv shaft seal on the tranny was leaking. So I fixed that. Put it all back together. Drove it for the first time since then. Shifts and everything great, and don't leak. But now when the tranny warms up, it don't take off from a dead stop. It revs up to about 2 thousand rpms and takes off. Im thiinking its slipping? But it only does it when it warms up ? These take regular ATF right? Nothing like a power converter type deal that needs drained or something? I can't see why the tranny would go out from that.. but anything can happen I guess. Any hints... greatly appreciated! thanks!

Sometimes shifting in and out of the various gears after filling will use some fluid and present those symptoms. Hitting the critter shouldn't have caused any major damage though.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I rechecked the fluid and its full. If the car sits for awhile you can jump in it and go it has no issues. But once you drive it for awhile, its when it starts skipping.
