    Positive cable to the aux power stud on the fuse box, the ground to a dog bone bolt, the only way you are going to have a chance at hurting the pcm is to hook the cables up backwards.

    Ignorance is bliss for me. I had always heard that battery boosting could be bad for newer cars but I have always done it with no problems. No one has ever given me a clear explanation why.
    Just hook it up carefully and disconnect them quick when the car fires up.
    When someones car wont start, they don't give a damn about what if's.
    They just want it running ASAP.
