Hey lately my supercharger belt has been really loose and making some bad squeeling noises. Today it finally snapped free. I already ordered a 3.4" MPS along with a new belt from ZZP but i won't get them until this coming Monday . I was curious if it's okay to drive around only when i need to and without beating on my car just for a couple more days. Thanks.

It will be fine, but I would just buy a cheap belt.

Will any average pep boys or autozone belt work for the supercharger as long it's the same size ? If i have to order a new one im just going to wait until Tuesday for my shipment.

You can use an emergency belt, like the one above.

If you have a 2004 and up Grand Prix, it will not run properly without the supercharger belt, and you will see reduced engine power on the dic.

The only harm is in gas mileage. Other then that your call will be slow (unless you have some major mods).

Prepare to see just how slow an L67 is without boost haha. I say 180 to the crank if you're lucky :P

Why is it so much slower. Wouldn't it be just like a gt or regular 3800. Or is everything all geared and setup diff?

the gearing and compression ratio are different...180hp to the crank is a very generous estimate. L67s are slower than dog**** without the sc belt

VERY generous. I was origially going to say about 160 or so. Keep in mind an L36 has higher compression (9.5:1) giving it that 200bhp, and a more agressive tune. L67 is boosted so less timing, less compression, the works. Just to give you an idea. I usually put buslengths on my buddies 240sx. I took the SC belt off and ran him for ****s and giggles. It was damn near door to door, even with my mods to help out a bit.
