so i had a silicone gasket i made for my gen v......well i tightened to torque specs and the sc pulley was completely binded.... couldnt spin....loosened the bolts and it spun....tightened again, no spin....took out sc gasket tightened the blower down and it spun freely.....must be that the thickness of the silicone didnt let the amount of torque be evenly distributed and was in a way warping/cocking the case? well ill just get a paper one fukk it! whats your input?

I usually go less torque on the silicone one, especially if you made it from silicone baking sheet. I do not recommend the baking sheet anymore, its thicker. I get the 1/32" silicone sheet it works better. I normally had good luck with 10 ft/lbs on the thicker one. Just tighten one bolt, check for spin freely, move on. Hope that helps.
