.....where is that cam being sold?!
THAT'S THE CAM I HAD!! NO ONE HAS RUN THAT THING YET!!! NO WAY!!
it's based off the trasher race cam (TEP) with some more intake lift. it will be a mean, MEAN cam. it will also go absolutely awesome with a turbo setup...that you have...
its in canada, it comes with 130# springs
i really really dont want to take the heads off my car yet, can this be ran with stock heads with the 130s? (rollermaster aswell)
wat about pushrods and such
ps how about idle
and yes i know heads would be great, but im waiting for winter for that,
it CAN run it with 130# springs and modded retainers, but its not how it should be ran. stock pushrods will be fine with this.
look at this ad, you need their 'stock heads install kit':
http://www.3800performance.com/Merch...oduct_Count=12
what is suggested then?
yes, the indicated overall lift is on the stock 1.6:1 rockers.
if it were ME doing this, i would buy a set of heads on the side and get them ported, polished, and the guides milled down to run the cam properly. this cam is an awesome one for you to stumble upon for your setup and it'd be a waste for you to not use it to its' full potential.
however, if you get ahold of 3800 performance you can buy their 'TEP cam install kit' which would give you everything you need to run it.
im going to be getting heads done this winter, as i said before. afaik the heads are good for 600 lift with the 130 springs.
