all im saying is you cant throw out a blanket statement like 'smaller pulleys make more power because your're making more boost'. it comes with a cost.

Ok throw a 2.55 on your car and see how much power you make.

saying that is also a false statement. he could be running a cam, open cone, intercooler, and headers. i bet that would monster on any normal 3.4 setup car any day of the week, even on the stock pulley. get it?

more than likely not since you wont put all those parts on your car to run the stock pulley.

You put that on to run a smaller one but it'd still be faster with those mods with a stock pulley than a stock car with a 3.4 pulley.

I never said that. You want to run plenty of timing on a larger pulley than 9* of timing on a tiny pulley, but obviously you know more about this than me so you win.

You don't NEED headers to run a 3.4". It has been proven, right. Does it mean it is the best thing for your car? Maybe, maybe not. The reason everyone says go the header route nowadays is because they are readily available and cheap. I bet the Speed Daddy Headers shipped to your front door are cheaper than a DP/PLOG from ZZPerformance...they'll make more power and support whatever mod level you want to get to. I'd be willing to bet your just like everyone else who gets these cars and runs down to the basic 3.4" setup and then you get bored...so you buy rockers...or headers...and then a smaller pulley...and then you get bored with that so you sell the rockers and buy a cam and even a smaller pulley.

But, its your car...so do what you want. If your going to contradict the advice we give you when you ask our opinion...that is what doesn't make sense. Why ask in the first place then when your not really going to listen anyways?

if all youre looking for is a 3.4 setup youll be fine with a plog and downpipe. however, if you want any farther than that (which you will once you see how much power you make on a 3.4) then you'll have been best off buying headers from the start.
