If your antenna is integrated into the window, which is usually is for vehicles and located in the upper portion of the rear window, then some people will not use tint to cover the window and antenna. The good tint jobs use a metallic-based tint to keep from fading and turning color from too much sun. Cheap tint jobs use a dye-based tint which will eventually fade and turn (usually purple) from the sun. The metallic-based tint can interfere with the antenna and radio reception. I had my windows tinted with the metallic-based tint but the people used the dye-based tint to cover the area of the antenna. You can see some fading of the color from the dye-based tint over the years but it is not noticeable from the outside. Hope this helps.
