Please forgive my ignorance, but each time I start my car, the light on the (snowflake) is on. This means that the compressor is on for the air....right?
Is this normal? I mean that on all the cars I have had....you had to turn it on yourself. Not have it on already. I am just curious. Thanks

Do you have the controls set on the defrost setting? If so try switching it to one of the others and see if the light turns off.

No, They aren't on. I even made sure they were off before starting the car. I wonder if the sensor notices that it needs to be on. I have needed the defrost every morning this week. Anyway.....it isn't hurting anything. I was just curious.

I was just curious. I know my girlfriends car (honda) the a/c light is on when it's on the defrost vent setting, thought it might be the same with yours. Sorry I can't be of more assistance.

I have the same problem wih my car. It can be in the middle of the summer with no defroster on and my A/C light will be on when ever I turn on the blower. A dealer looked at it for me and could not figure out what was causing it. If you find a fix let me know.
