I also forgot to mention that the only actual leather in gm vehichles seats is the part you sit on, the backrest and headrest is actually a high grade vinyl. So it actually might be better to have not only vinyl car products but also leather care products, I know that is what I started doing in between steaming sessions.

I took Scotty's advise and tried the Mr Clean Magic Erasers on the seats and it work well! I used to use just a small sponge and scotchbrite pad on the bad spots but the eraser was gentle enough to use on everything without issue.

I mixed up my usual Johnson's Baby Shampoo and water in a spray bottle as a cleaner/lubricant, because it's very gentle and has no alkaline. Wiped down with a wet rag afterwards and used my usual Lexol conditioner.

I have some Leatherique on the way. Expensive but I hear good things!

Will you need to post up that formula in the Detail Tips and Tricks area, I have never heard of that before and would like to try that out. Glad to hear the Magic Erasers worked well. I have yet to be let down by them.
