My dad's GP and some other people I know with their 04+ GP's have the same problem. I think it's a glitch or something. My dad ignored it and it went away. He replace it a couple times and nothing happened. I actually think it was the sensor that went bad.

if its not a gas cap its more than likely a solenoid valve (spelling?). Had this problem on my 04 compg and it only went away after replacing that. Dealer fixed it for like 20 bux or something

My car shows the check gas cap on the DIC every once in a while. When I pump gas I have to do it slowly or the pump will shut off. Has anyone had this problem? Is the Vent solenoid bad? ANy help apprecitated.

I have the same issue as we speak. I switched gas caps with our 2nd GP and it still errors. It also causes the check engine light to illuminate. Chances are it's really not the gas cap at all. It's an 06 GP Supercharged and very annoying to have something wrong with my baby. Any advice on an easy fix.

You have an evap leak, have a shop hook it up to a smoke machine and find the leak replace the part.
