i take back my comment for putting it where the cubby hole is, ull never see it there. and now that i see it in action this idea could work. i like it. good luck if you ever want another gauge like an aeroforce though...

It's done for now. Pics as promised!! I cut the right side about 1/8" too much. The pic makes it look worse than it is because of the shadow. I just need a new piece of plastic and I'll do that when I can fine a red bulb for the gauge, I like that idea!!
Other than that I'm happy how it came out. I don't think this looks hack at all.
Good ol' JB weld.

Thanks guys!!
And good catch! I was wondering if anyone would bring that up. Thats the vacuum/boost line that runs to the gauge. Surprisingly it dosen't pinch or affect the reading.
I ran it like that because it was easier than running it threw the firewall grommet. Not the cleanest look but you can only see it when the doors open. Later on down the road when im under the car ill re-rout it.
looks good i prefer a-pillar myself but good work. not a fan of the half@$$ vacuum line running hope you change that soon. thats ok for temp but thats it. it doesn't take anything to run the line through the firewall an looks 1000 times cleaner.
i drilled a hole in my firewall and made my own frommet to run all my sending unit wiring and vacuum line for the boost gauge. old spark plug boots make great grommets just fyi.
