should I get these instead?

These are the ones I got.. they got good reviews..

i was the same way, money's always an issue. i got the same pair, and don't get me wrong, they're really good mids, crystal clear sound, the bass never distorts it. i can imagine they got good reviews. i was just expecting a little more bass when it said 300 watts, and especially from sony. you could almost just hook them up with the wires hanging in the trunk and see if you like them and return them if you don't, i doubt they'll check to see if it's been opened haha. and like i said, i prefer pioneer. i had a set of 4 x 10's in my S-10 that i really liked. and i'm probably getting as much bass out of the 5.25" pioneer's in the doors than i am out of the sonys. if you're going to add a sub later maybe, the sonys would be great. and i honestly didn't look at the $44 ones when i was buying mine. i feel that it's really a get-what-you-pay-for thing with car audio.Originally Posted by andremike
