Get a new PCM before doing rockers.
Agree with Bio on the all doing the same job. You choose roller vs modded. Some rockers require different length pushrods that typically come with them.
I'm more inclined to suggest a stock length pushrod rocker.
And yes..please change the springs.
was planning on just doin 1.9 modded.. cheaper ones and i don't feel i would need rockers for the mild mods i got on there
you say do more searching.. searchin what? from all i've read 1.9 rockers are simple and easy.. i'm not lookin for extreme performance
and why change the springs?... all the sites say the stock springs are good to 6000 rpm
again.. appreciate all feedback, just lookin for more detail to get some edumacation on this![]()
i would agree that unless you rev over 6k RPM that youre fine on stock springs, but the likelihood of you breaking them increases the higher miles are on them. springs are just cheap insurance.
i ran stock springs on my modded 1.9s and never floated any valves or broke anything.
