Ive been told by two different GM certified technicians that switching back to a regular oil after using synthetic is a terrible idea. I'm not saying those technicians are right or wrong. I'm just saying, would you take the chance. If you want synthetic run synthetic, and if you want a standard oil, run a standard oil. Why would you ever want to change back in forth in the first place?

I've met people in the oil business, they say oil is oil, as long as you change regularly, cheap is good.

I used to be a mobile 1 fan, when I could afford it lol (that is another story) i was using valvoline synthetic I think (got it at wally world) in my last car, but honestly if u get oil change at right intervals conventional is just fine. When I was doing the oil change myself i would pay for the Synthetic as I could get it done for same priceas conventional change, or less, than going to a shop. Now that I am back on a warranty I will have it done at a shop and stick to coventional oil
