the vacuum line that sees boost and vacuum...
how are you rebuilding a motor again? i dont see how its possible when you cant figure out a mechanical boost gauge.
if you are still lost, put a T fitting on the MAP sensor nipple and run the vacuum line across with your fuel lines and into the cabin through the firewall by the drivers feet.
Go threw the gromet in the floor like stated in your other thread. T into the map sensor vacuum line.
NO NO NO bio ughhh im saying i have it all wired in and ready to go the vacum line is already connected to the back of the gauge im jsut wondering where exactly to go through the firewall at and what to T into
thanks 01gtp but are you talking about the gromet on the passenger side? i think gtpsleeper didnt give me enough hose haha
just go through the firewall down by the drivers feet. take off the panels under the dash and look where the wires go out. push it through there.
the grommet in the floor on the passenger side is way out of your way.
Never really looked on the drivers side I will have to do that for mine.
i cant see where the screwdriver went through the grommet.........????
im going into the grommet where the ebrake cable goes through correct???? i dont see it "screwdriver" that i put through the grommet??? hummmmm?
i just made a new hole with a drill carefully and put in my own grommet....but if i had known there was a good grommet to use i would have....
im just wondering wtf does the ebrake cable come out into the firewall at im puzzled!
Exact opposite of where it goes into the firewall probally.
iduh im saying with a light i still dont see it!
I went through the passenger side grommet...IIRC there is WAY more space.
There is a rubber plug to the left of the steering column where it goes through the firewall. I pulled that out and used a drill to put a small hole in it and then reinstalled the plug. The nylon tube will come out below the brake booster.
Did any of you with autometers have problems getting the tubing threw the ferrel that goes in side the fitting at the gauge>
Under booster thanks manill try tomarrow night im going to sleep fyi im exhausted engine is in and bolted to trans
saturday afternoon is start up wooooooohooo
