The compressor works and kicks on, but intermittently the blower just quits blowing. I can feel cold air (barely) moving out of the vent when i'm driving.

Had the same exact problem on a '02 sunfire (that my wife drove) but it was under warranty and she took it in to get it fixed.

I was just curious if anybody else was having or has had this problem.
I have tools and basic skills, just don't know where to start (like if its electrical or mechanical) and where the ac blower motor is located.

honestly first time i have had a problem with the a/c on any car i have owned.

    Thanks, John
ps my first post too so... Hi everybody.

    John,

You might try the blower motor resistor...common issue for sure on the 97-03 cars...might have just gotten one in the new ones that took a crap on you. They are under the glovebox IIRC...and have fun getting in there if your a big guy...its a tight squeeze LOL

We have had this happen on two of our vehicles and it was the blower resistor motor whatever its called. My husband bought the Pontiac parts from Chevy Parts | Chevy Truck Parts | Chevy Accessories | OEM Chevy Parts from GM Parts Club I think it took him about 30 minutes or so, he said it wasnt to hard and it wasnt all that expensive of a part either.

My 99 gtp actually has a similar problem. When i turn on the ac nothing comes out at all. The compressor and everything works. I think it may be either a fuse or the resistor have not checked either yet.
