yup, so racergurl, they "charged it" and it either leaked back out, or they suck at their job and they are fired. you are low on 134...tell them they need to fill it back up, and say, look im not stupid, when its low, it only works on the passenger side. (dont mention the forum, well you can...either way) if they give you any crap, tell them to call any of us...lol
I'm not sure why but on our cars when the pump is at high displacement it won't cool the drivers side so adding about 12oz more will keep the pump running at low displacement then both sides will stay cool. I had the same problem with my old 97 grand prix. I thought the gates were not opening. I bet I spent three days under my dash chasing vacum lines, and because the gauges told me I had enough pressure I never thought that could be the problem. A friend told me the same thing that i'm telling you. I didn't believe it could be so simple till I added another can of R134A and the pressure stayed the same on the gauges and both sides got colder than they had ever been.
yeah sounds good. ok, anyone experience the "puddle" on the passenger side? well, one time it leaked down in the blower motor and killed it. it was under warranty, so they replaced it. but the thing is, with new blower motor, it never blew as hard as it did before the original toasted. so, you think they used the wrong kind? maybe i can get the real one to use and it will blow hard again..what you guys think?
yes -- anytime it rains my passenger side is wet -- last time i had a puddle about a 1/2 inch deep -- cant figure out where it is coming from![]()
All you ever need to know about the water in the floorboard problem
You're welcome.

my heat only works on the drivers side lol so in the winter whoever my pass. is i feel sorry for them lmao
racegurl and all others, the problem with the water leaking in happened to me also. I removed the cowl vent screen (the plastic panel where the wipers come out of) this is where the fresh air for the ac is brought in from outside. On the passenger side you will find the big hole where the water comes in.There is a rubber gasket that is about 18" long that had fallen out of place. I put it back and solved the problem for a couple of weeks till it fell off again rubber cement solved the problem the second time. Hope this helps. I too have the ac blowing cold only on passenger side problem and cant understand it.
Please leave a Thank you if this helps that would be cool thanks

Had my ac charged blowin ice on both sides go figure!
I am replying to old posts here but the information is interesting. I never would have guessed that if the system was not fully charged up then it would have the driver's side blow warmer air. Every other post or source that I have read regarding the driver's side blowing warmer air related the problem to the blend door actuator or the temperature control unit. I am going to charge the system up today and see what happens.
mine is fully charged and ac works better on passenger side.
Darn. Seems this common problem in our GPs are cause by (1) low refrigerant, (2) bad blend door actuators or (3) a bad temperature control unit. I think we all need to find out which one it is for our specific vehicle. I have a feeling it may be my temperature control unit because my A/C light does not remain on and when I press on the temp control unit it will turn on so I think there may be a short in my control unit. Who knows, that short may be causing a bad signal to be sent to the blend door actuator (motor). Just my thoughts.
Well, I did charge my AC system up fully and it seemed to correct the problem. Both sides now blow cold air and it starts doing so right away. I am currently in 100+ degree weather and when I get into my car and turn the AC on, it gets real cold real fast on both sides. Again, try charging the AC system fully first.
