I tried to put on my 2.5 catted zzp downpipe 2day but there wasnt enough room to get to it as i do not have a hydra. lift. So i took it to a few stores to put it on expecting estimates of 40 to 50 bucks you know 1/2 an hr of labor. Lol no all three places told me it would atleast be 120 bucks more if it was rusted, i got it for 90 shipped from this website idk wat im gonna do. Any suggestions?

why cant you jack it up to get enough clearance with a normal car jack?

I got it up to enough clearance but i cant get the bolts off where the pipe actually connects to the manifold, not enough space for me and a wrench.

Take off the dog bones in front and use ratchet straps to pull the motor forward.

you cant get a swivel socket in there? If you still cant get to it... take off the dog bones on the front of the motor and tie a ratchet strap onto the rear of the motor and pull the motor forward.....this will give you plenty of clearance. Not sure what exactly is in the way, but you could also remove the sway bar if that helps.....but you are probably tight on room at the top of it...

The bolt is to long for the size of the socket i can fit over it, the sway bar is in the way maybe i can remove it for some room but moving the motor seems like a bit of an overkill.

it is easy to move the motor.......two bolts in the front, very easy access.....tie on ratchet strap and done...... I would say sawzall them off.........but then you still have to have a way of getting access to them for putting them back on.....

well it sounds like you have a problem with not enough tools. i didnt have a problem doin this at all. i just did it. if it comes down to not being able to do it, look around a little bit more. 120 for something like this seems a bit much. i would figure 80 bucks top.

    Sawzall them? O_o wtf.

Just take out the 2 front dogbone bolts as it will let you lean the motor towards the front of the car when you strap it forward...and if you don't have a ratchet strap...use a bungee cord...same deal.

spray the living hell out of them before you do it. It will make it much better. It cost me $200 to get mine done, I know I over paid but I broke a bolt in the manifold and had to have the car back on the road for the following day so I paid for it. Take your time and make sure you spray plenty of lubrication on it so it doesn't break.
