Get the ZZP 3 inch off-road catless DP. You will get a gain in performance, nothing crazy, but it is noticable. Not to mention its a necessity for any further modding you may do. As far as sound, its a little bit raspier inside the car, not loud though. I love it.
'99 Buick Regal GS--PT-61 turbo, Air to Air intercooler, 1.9 rockers, #65 injectors, PEMs, DHP tuned, 3 in DP, 3 in exhaust w/ cut out, Harmon Performance transmission w/ 3k stall and trans-go shift kit. much much more!

there is no reason to run catless unless youre just too cheap to buy the high flow cat.

it wont affect performance, but it will throw a code unless you disable the rear o2 code with a tune or you get an o2 simulator.

If you get a downpipe without the cat, you will have to get the rear O2 simulator, which is damn near as much as just getting the cat in the first place. When I got my RT downpipe with cat about 4 or 5 years ago, the O2 sensor was banging against the body of the car and was very annoying. I went ahead and got the O2 simulator to do away with it. I am guessing the ZZP pipe has the correct placement so the rear O2 will not do that. The RT downpipes are way to expensive for what you get now.
