Hello all... I was chatting today with a guy who suggested putting my cone filter right onto the TB and removing all the tubing... I have heard of this before but havent heard much beside the fact that people do it... Any suggestions, ideas, and advice will be considered... Jus in case it is somewhat related to what mods you are running here goes nothing haha

A ram air intake with a 9" K&N air filter, Fully re-programmed performance computer, a ZZP Ported Throttle Body with Throttle body heat shield, 3.4" Thrasher supercharger pulley with Goodyear Gatorback belts from Thrasher Charged, MSD Coil Packs, MSD 8.5mm spark plug wires, NGK Iridium plugs, 180 degree t-stat, 1.9 rockers, ZZP ceramic coated Powerlog and Crossover pipe, 3" down pipe with Magnaflow cat and u-bend delete, and a flowmaster exhaust.

Also I think the filter is 3 1/4 on the end?? not sure jus throwing some numbers out there...

Not enough mods...it'll hurt you. Keep your longer intake. You really won't benefit from it until you do something along the lines of meth, cam, or intercooler.

I wish someone would try tigging them shut or something, I just can't seem to trust epoxy... especially with 10-15 psi of boost on them.......

are you kidding me? the epoxy has a 1500 psi working strength, there is no way with proper installation, and i say proper b/c you can mess it up with crappy prep work, that its going to fail. i have used jb weld on components with cars that run 30psi of boost with no problems what so ever.

you can weld them. you just need to go slower. cant heat up the case a lot.

Try this kit from Eastwood it's called alumiweld item#19081 ,this would do the trick and since your only using propanefor heat the chances of warping the case would be slim.Chico.
