    Hello everyone,

The previous owner of my 98 gtp cut the two performance shift wires from the knob. As of right now the 2 wires are wired into the PCM and ground respectively, and since i would like to avoid taking apart the shift knob to put the wires back in, i decided to add a performance shift on/off button to the dash.

So, my question is how would i wire the on/off switch in the dash, seeing as i already have everything set up (as far as the black wire grounded and the red wire connected to the PCM).

Would it be as simple as connecting one wire to the off position, and one to the on position?

yes it would. you'd just need a normal switch......

taking abpart the center is easy. just pops up. the shifter comes off by pulling out the little metal staple by the shift release lever.
