a couple of simple things to help ya out for moding.

    1. get air into the motor (intake)
    2. get HOT air out of the motor (headers)
    3. move air around in the motor better (cam, rockers, heads)
    4. put colder air into the motor (intercooler)

kr develps because to much hot air is in the cylenders. if the hot air cant get out then its going to have spark knock (kr)

free up the flow and get the hot air out of the engine and that will allow you to drop some pulley sizes saftly.

a tune pulls your mods together. it also helps at first because all cars come econemy tunned. but i would spend money on other things first. intake and headers on my car pretty much put me in the 13's. but i have 3.29 gears and a gen V supercharger.

that is false. its not the heat, but it can add to it. if you look up predetonation then youll be able to read up on what it really is. old school guys call knock 'pinging'. basically the crap in the cylinder ignites before the piston reaches top dead center and tries to push the piston back down when it is on it's upstroke. if you have the chance, try listening for it sometime. if youre knocking enough and you listen for it you can almost hear a popcorn popping sound, which is the knock. if you can hear it pretty well, you definately know something is wrong.
