ok so i have adjusted the BBV 20+ times to try to fix burst knock...turns out no matter what i do i have at least 2.7 degrees of KR at WOT and high rpms...now today i noticed it his 9.3 out of no where but if i was really getting that much knock wouldnt i have felt it bogging like a champ...now two things..i talked to turbo tim at zzp and he said platinum plugs are terrible for knock reduction use copper? any body running platinum plugs without issues? and do you think that random 9.3 was false or are my plugs fouling out and causing excess knock?

It could be false. Only real way to tell is to take timing out of that area to see if it goes away

Copper plugs is what you should be running.

i am having a burst knock issue on my car. it knocks a lot when i start to boost, then fades out as the RPMs go up. if youre getting knock that increases as the RPMs go up then it is not burst knock or caused by the BBV.

you should also be running copper plugs.

excessive load at high speeds will cause knock. also, the car runs leaner and leaner each gear it makes it through.

torque management. it cuts timing (KR) when it sees a high torque level.
